PERI Construction Set PCS: One complete floor higher every five days
The site completed the skeleton construction project in record time: the structure grew by up to six floors every month.
The condition for this output is the formwork erected for a complete floor. That means: columns, stairwells, beams and slabs for one floor were erected all as one complete unit. The quantity of formwork and scaffolding therefore had to cover one floor. Formwork and scaffolding systems, especially adapted to the floor plans, significantly eased the work for the crane capacity. Each part of the formwork could be easily taken by hand to the next cycle. The crane was used exclusively for reinforcement and concrete transport.
The key for successfully implementing the complicated floor plans with many middle and perimeter cross beams was the newly-developed PCS Construction Set. The self-supporting beam formwork system consists of preassembled beam side formwork units that support the formwork soffit on cramp beams. Large span widths caused by the system reduce the number of necessary supports by PERI UP or PEP props to a minimum. The formwork components are connected to the cramps with captive wedges and can be struck without damaging the materials, because the PCS system can be struck without tension.
