Bridge over river Drava, Maribor, Slovenia
Decks with integrated lock against lift off secured in the moment it is fixedThe steel arch bridge was sand blasted then repainted, with repairs to the underside of the concrete bridge deck. This required working platforms to follow the arch profile, around struts and within working distance of the deck soffitt. Lattice girders laid across the steel arches were used to both support and suspend the working scaffold from. The scaffold was started at the embankments and the supports with the next bays cantilevered out on node braces and the standards then suspended from further lattice girders laying on the steel arches. Console brackets on the outer standards provided the access platform to the deck upstand and a method to transfer scaffold materials to the work face. The PERI UP decks with the integrated lock against lift off are secured the moment they are fitted to the transom. This meant that without any additional components the decks were fully secured and could be used immediately.
