Beams and Slabs poured monolithically with PERI SKYDECK
S&F Concrete of Hudson, MA is constructing Boston´s new World Trade Center. They have chosen PERI to supply 85,000 sqft (7,896 m²) of SKYDECK panels, main beams, MRK braces and accessories, as well as 15,000 various size MULTIPROPs.
In the garage area of the building, there are three levels of 70,000 sqft (6,503 m²), two levels of 55,000 sqft (5,110 m²) and two levels of 50,000 sqft (4,645 m²) totalling 420,000 sqft (39,018 m²) of poured in place concrete. In only three months the SKYDECK enabled the contractor to pour approximately 40 % of the slabs.
Sloping slabs and beams were formed simultaneously and were poured monolithically. This solution greatly reduced the time required for the labor intensive stripping procedure.
