Worldwide leadership in highrise buildings: PERI ACS 100* Every five days a new story Treptower Project in Berlin, Germany with capacity of 22.48 kips (100kN) *Automatic Climbing System
With 31 stories the Treptower reaches a height of 393''8" (120 m). The square layout formed by the external facades measures 109''10" x 109''10" (33.50 x 33.50 m). It is an open plan with 16 columns reducing from 3''3" x 3''3" (1.00 x 1.00 m) to 2'' x 2'' (0.60 x 0.60 m) in cross section. The core of the building 54''9" x 56''1" (16.70 x 17.10 m) consists of continuous reinforced concrete walls for stairwells, lift and service shafts. Offices, with a floor area of about 10,764 sqft (1000 sqm) per story, are grouped around these.
15,608 sqft (1,450 sqm) of VARIO tension-proof girder wall formwork and thirty ACS automatic climbing units - with each hydraulic cylinder lifting 22.48 kips (100 kN) - made it possible to finish a complete story every five days.
