PERI complete solution for pier formwork: designed, prefabricated and ready to be assembled
For the construction of the four river piers of this border bridge in an architectural concrete finish, PERI designed and fabricated two complete sets of formwork. The “ready-to-assemble service” provided by the PERI subsidiary in Berlin delivered precise prefabricated large VARIO GT 24 girder formwork panels in transportable dimensions of up to 6.80 x 2.50 m on schedule. The forming boards pre-fabricated by PERI with different kinds of plywood facilitated an optimum solution regarding the special shape and surface design of the piers (change from smooth to board-mark surfaces).
The possibility of simple extension of the VARIO standard panels 480 and 600 by means of the VARIO extension splices and the exactly prefabricated forming boards resulted in extremely short erection times during the assembly of the formwork and the alteration of the formwork sets.
