Complicated supporting framework with perfect concrete surfaces
Noise protection for a residential area were the grounds for constructing this avalanche protector. The construction of this double-lane, 180 m long roadway avalanche screen was carried out in two working stages.
First the supporting frame was constructed. It consists of walls with integrated columns and slab beams. MULTIPROP tables were used as formwork units and were moved on stationary roller carriages. The fair-face concrete requirements of the architect, smooth surfaces for columns and beams and a board structure for the walls, could be perfectly achieved with the VARIO girder formwork, despite breaks and blockouts in the walls.
During further construction the loads from the supporting frame and covering concrete slabs had to be safely carried. The crew achieved short cycle times here with the mobile MULTIPROP falsework units and MULTIPROP temporary props.
